5 Tips on how to make your lips look irresistible

Did you know that you’re making around 15,000 movements with your mouth on the day?
That’s quite a lot! Kissing, laughing and pouting are just a few things that you can do just fine with your lips!
We are going to discuss some very important rules you need to follow before you apply your favorite lipstick in order to have healthy, beautiful lips and create a stunning and gorgeous look.

5 Tips on how to make your lips look irresistible:

Rule Number 1: Do Not bite your lips!

The environmental changes are doing enough harm to your lips so please don’t do it to yourself. Cracked lips are an unpleasant cosmetic defect and it can be quite a painful problem. And remember – do not bite your lips or pull the dried skin, because that can lead to infection such as herpes.

Rule Number 2: Don’t lick your lips!

Are your lips dry, are you catching yourself certainly often licking your lips? Sorry, that does not help them get moisturized. Quite the contrary: Lips need fat in order to remain supple. Saliva only dries them more! So keep your tongue in your mouth and let those lips rest. If you still tend to lick your lips, apply chapstick or balm.

Rule Number 3: Exfoliate!

DIY Method 1: Exfoliate your lips with brown sugar and olive oil
I love to exfoliate my lips with brown sugar and olive oil, as I love the taste and texture of brown sugar more than typical white sugar.
Mixing them together and if you want you can also add some jojoba oil, coconut oil or Vitamin E oil that makes my lips look 10 times better than if I simply keep applying lip balm layer after lip balm layer. I feel that my lips are soft and well moisturized.

DIY Method 2: Toothbrush massage
Take an old toothbrush, which bristles are straight and most importantly soft and put a bit of petroleum jelly on it. Gently massage your lips in a circular motion for a couple of minutes. The petroleum jelly will deeply hydrate your lips.

DIY Method 3: Honey and Sugar
We already heard about how beneficial honey is. Mix 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 teaspoon honey together in a small bowl until you have a paste. Then you can apply it to your lips using your fingertips and gently massage in order to slough off dry, dead skin cells.
The scrub smells amazing and also taste that way so you will definitely be tempted to try it. After you are ready for the exfoliating massage, rinse the scrub with warm water and apply lip balm.

One thing you should keep in mind, be careful not to overdo it and don’t exfoliate your lips more than twice a week.

By regular exfoliation, your lip discoloration or melanin pigmentation become faded. Flaky, dead, chapped, or dry skin from the lips can easily be healed with the help of Lip exfoliation, which is also a good way to destroy the impurities.

Rule Number 4: Protect from UV radiation!

If you spent more time outdoors you should absolutely think about protection for your skin. Lips are more susceptible to sun damage caused by UV exposure because they have no melanin. Formation of wrinkles on and around the lip area is a sign of excessive sun exposure over the years, and because of that, the production of collagen on your lips has been also affected.

Rule Number 5: Avoid Dehydration!

The main indicators of dehydration are dry and cracked lips. You should drink enough water during the day in order to keep yourself moisturized. It will benefit not only your lips, your whole body will feel healthier!
