You are about to go to an important event or you are planning to have a fun night out with your girls and you know there will be plenty of photos made, then you know you have to look your best! Whether you will share the photos on social media or you will simply keep them as a reminder of the wonderful times, your beautiful appearance will make you feel good about yourself. In these occasions, we are often doing our makeup excitedly for about an hour or even more.

#1. Hide any imperfections
It is really important to achieve a full-coverage base for your makeup.
Start with applying your foundation first and then conceal all the problem areas in order to hide all the blemishes and make your skin look flawless. You can apply the foundation using a foundation brush, beauty blender or your fingertips, it is really up to you! When you try to conceal any imperfections on your skin, it will be better for you to do it with a concealer brush, because if you use your fingertips you may irritate the area. Once you are ready make sure to blend all the products well. Otherwise, the camera flash will reveal all the lines that you have missed and there will be nothing you can change it.

Once your base is finished you can start with shaping your face. Contouring is a very powerful technique that allows us to create undetectable beauty illusions and even make us look like we have a plastic surgery done. Applying concealer underneath your eyes will brighten up the area, making you look more awake and refreshed. Using a flat brush will give you the precision that you need and will be easier for you to avoid any mistakes. If you don’t own any highlighter, you can always use your shimmery eyeshadows! And yes they will do the job just fine! Assuming that the makeup basics such as mascara, eyeliner, lipstick, and lip gloss are the only makeup products that you need to create the beautiful look, it’s really a huge mistake many of us make.

Try to drink plenty of water and moisturize your lips using any lip balm or petroleum jelly as you prefer. Once your lips are well moisturized you can apply your lipgloss. Applying falsies will create a bold lash line that will immediately give you the appearance of drastically longer lashes. The false lashes come in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit your natural eye shape. Just make sure to glue them well otherwise your eyelash might comes off. The main rule to apply fake lashes is to Apply a thin line of lash glue along the base of false eyelashes then place the falsies close to the base of your natural lashes, gently press down from outer corner inwards and stay like that for about 30 seconds just to make sure that your glue is completely dry.
#7. Know your angles
You have to know that nobody is perfect and we all have features that we love and some that we rather hide from the camera. If you, for example, have a larger forehead you might want to raise your chin just a bit and elongate your neck.
Take a look at old photos of yours and observe your most flattering photos and those which doesn’t make you look that glamorous. Once you know your best angles, you will definitely appear more photogenic on your pictures!

If your neck is paler than your face, add a thin layer foundation to your neck and blend it really well.
