How to increase the immune system

It is always a good idea to think about methods to strengthen the immune system and of course to follow them. With the deterioration of weather conditions, we are being increasingly exposed to a variety of flu and bacterial attacks. Your lifestyle is really important, because it can affect how well your immune.

 

When you are fit and healthy, your immunity can protect you from germs, chronic illness, and viruses.
Do your best to replace the bad health habits with good ones in order to keep your immune system healthy. Here are some useful tips on how to increase your immune system.

 

1. Drink more water

When you drink enough water all the functions of your body are working properly. Including your immune system. When you drink enough fluids in the season of colds and flues, you will be able to prevent most of them.

2. Less stress, more relaxation

Stress can be a major cause of the weakened immune system. So make sure you relax enough and do nice things for you to reduce stress. Do yoga, play with your dog, listen to music, meet friends. Studies have shown that reduction in the levels of stress causes your immune system to work better.

3. Get enough sleep

Sleep is very important for strong immunity because during the sleep the body can recover.Sleep at least 8 hours a day to stay healthy and to have an immune system that can fight off bacteria and viruses.

4. Take selenium
This mineral enhances the activity of “natural killer cells” and mobilize the cells fighting cancer formations. Selenium can be found in white chicken, tuna, lobsters, shrimp, sunflower seeds, whole grains, brown rice, lamb chops and egg yolks.

5. Eat more garlic and onions

More than any vegetables, onion, and garlic contributes to a healthy immune system as they contain natural antibacterial ingredients phytoncides that kill bacteria. Eat them raw, but not too much as they can irritate the stomach and intestines. Do not cook them, as so they lose much of their beneficial properties.

6. Take Vitamin C

Vitamin C tops the list of most beneficial for the immune system nutrients, not one or two studies have proven its importance for our immunity. Vitamin C enhances the formation of infection-fighting white blood cells and antibodies and increases levels of interferon. Besides being inexpensive, this vitamin is readily available in nature. Oranges, kiwi, lemons are rich in vitamin C.

7. Drink Green tea
Green tea is well known for its healthy effect on our bodies. Re-introduced and widely distributed in China. It is often associated with Asian cultures and in recent years gained popularity in the Western world. Green tea is made from “Camellia sinensis” leafs, which contain a chemical called polyphenol. Polyphenol scans the body for free radicals which might have damaged the immune system, and not only.

8. Eat less sugar

Many studies have confirmed that the immune system is weakened when we consume more sugar. The World Health Organization believes that it is imperative for people to limit the use of products rich in sugar to reduce obesity – one of the main causes of cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases.

9. Take contrast shower
A great way to boost your immune system and improve your blood circulation are the contrast showers.
They have long been a home remedy, which helps us to prevent colds.
It improves blood flow to the skin, tones blood vessels stimulate metabolism and train the immune system.

10. Drink a glass of red wine
Specialists from the University of California claim that glass of wine helps the immune system and enhances the effect of vaccines, thereby helping your body to fight off faster infections.
